LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER - WE HAVE ONLY A FEW PLACES LEFT
Lanarkshire Society of Organists is pleased to host a Lanarkshire based Training day on Saturday 18th February at St Francis Xavier Church and the Glass Chapel, based at Carfin Grotto, Motherwell.
The aims of this training day are to reach out and encourage organists who are needing support in Hymn playing, Accompaniment, Interpretation of words and registration of verses.
There will workshop based activity held in morning and afternoon sessions. Workshops will also cover Voluntary Playing and Organ Techniques.
We are leading this in conjunction with SCOTS (Scottish Church Organist Training Scheme) and the training day will feature two tutors:
Andrew Macintosh (Director of Music, All Saints' Church, St Andrews)
Alan Mathew (Organist & Choirmaster, Williamwood Church of Scotland, Glasgow)
Douglas Galbraith from SCOTS will also led a plenary session exploring the different styles of Psalms and their use.
